Cordoba to reopen its Congress and Conference Centre

After a few years of renovation and administrative procedures, Cordoba will reopen its Congress and Conference Centre, scheduled to open early October 2018.

The Conference Centre will open in two different stages, with the whole of the Conference Centre due operate at its full capacity in three years’ time. For now, it will have a maximum capacity of 922 seats. It will be divided by different panelled areas, that can be split according to the client’s different needs.

The city of Cordoba has other great venues with meetings and conference space, however, the Congress Centre is ideally located in front of the Mosque-Cathedral and right on the city centre, making transportation to and from much easier for any event. The building, who was originally a hospital built in 1517, has suffered major changes throughout its history until it became a Congress Centre in 1980. It was then closed for a few years and it is now ready and looking forward to welcoming visitors to its modern facilities.

With this new addition, the city becomes the perfect place for any MICE event you have in mind – with a solid network of high-standard hotels. Cordoba offers more than 20 4* and 5* hotels – many of them with meeting rooms; and a wide supplementary cultural offer for your events. Within this cultural offer we can highlight the 4 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, a fantastic gastronomy, fantastic weather all year round and its convenient location for both travellers from Seville, Malaga and Madrid, it will be the new go-to place in no time.
