This past weekend Cadiz was chosen by the German division of Thomas Cook to celebrate a Press Conference. More than 72 German journalists visited the city and different excursions were organised by the Tourism authorities of Cadiz to display its potential to the German public.
We cannot forget the German market is the most important in Cadiz, with almost 300,000 visitors in 2017, that generated 2 million overnight stays, a great impact on the local economy.
Different excursions were organised for the journalists, experts, travel bloggers, advertising agencies and authorities, to showcase Cadiz’s full potential. Jerez, the cradle of Sherry wine, horses and Flamenco is of course on the list, as well as the magnificent seaside resorts of El Puerto de Santa María, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Tarifa – the capital of wind sports. The Pueblos Blancos of Vejer de la Frontera and Arcos de la Frontera are of course included, as well as Cape Trafalgar.
Cadiz is one of the most versatile places in Andalusia. From endless beaches to historic villages, moving on to one of the eldest cities in Europe, Natural Parks, wine cellars and many more. Is the perfect scenario for team building activities as well as corporate events, due to its large meeting spaces scattered around the province.
If the above sounds appealing, do get in touch with Meridional Events, your local DMC, and we will help you organise the perfect MICE event in Cadiz, or elsewhere in the South of Spain.
