It’s summer again and, in Marbella, this could only mean Starlite. For over 7 years now (and following the steps of its big brother Starlite Gala), Marbella’s summer nights are filled with music, gastronomy, fashion and endless fun. Important artists from all over the world have played at this glamourous event that, above all, has a charity purpose.
During the months of July and August, the Nagüeles quarry becomes the centre of Marbella nights. There are concerts every night, with national and international artists like The Beach Boys, Il Divo, Jamie Cullum, Supertramp, Eros Ramazzotti, Sting, Diana Krall, John Legend, Luis Fonsi, Jason Derulo, that will all play this 2019, but there are also DJ sessions on one of the coolest dancefloors at the Costa del Sol.
Malaga‘s most famous personality (after Picasso, of course), Antonio Banderas is the patron of the Starlite Gala, who carries out an extensive philanthropy work through several associations who operate both in Malaga and Mexico, with the main focus in children in need, helping them to complete their studies through scholarships and by building safe schools in Mexico – so far, 19 schools have been built. Over the 10 years of history of Starlite Gala, more than € 2,5 million have been raised.
