So here we are, Meridional Events is now alive. A bit less than a year after the idea first crossed our minds, we are sitting in a sunny living room, far from where it all started but where we want to be.
Meridional Events is a DMC specialized in MICE tourism in the South of Spain –a true gem in terms of beauty, history, gastronomy, wellness and full of opportunities when it comes to business travel
Meridional Events was initially conceived in Scotland, where we lived and the place we called home for more than 8 years and where we developed our professional careers – I have wide experience in customer service, tourism and events and Rubén is a Chartered Civil Engineer. Unfortunately, everything comes to an end and after months of doubts and considering all scenarios we decided to come back home, Spain. It is easier said than done, considering we had lived abroad for 12 and 10 years, respectively, and the place we had left years ago might not be the same anymore. However, we felt it was the right time and we did it, we left our beloved Scotland in July 2017, to settle in Malaga, in the South of Spain.
Our starting points will focus mainly on Corporate Events, Incentive Travel, Business Meetings and Golf, with an eye in Team Building and Special Interest Groups
Given my experience and Ruben’s passion for tourism and travelling (he has visited 40+ countries!) we decided to open our own agency, a DMC specialized in MICE tourism that would cover the South of Spain, a true gem in terms of beauty, history, gastronomy, wellness and full of opportunities when it comes to business travel. Our starting points will focus mainly on Corporate Events, Incentive Travel, Business Meetings and Golf, with an eye in Team Building and Special Interest Groups.
