Seville is, without any doubt, the place to go to celebrate any large event. This 2019, Seville is thriving when it comes to organising world-famous events.
It all started in February, when Seville hosted the 33rd edition of the Goya awards, the main national film award ceremony in Spain. It was the first time ever it took place in Seville, and the second time the award ceremony was organised outside Madrid, where it normally takes place. Spanish and international celebrities arrived in the city, that was ready and looking forward to impressing everyone with its outstanding beauty and UNESCO World Heritage Monuments.
In April, the city was the headquarter of the WTTC Summit, that gathered important personalities of the Tourism and Economic world, including a talk by the US former president, Mr Barack Obama. The Summit was a complete success, with an occupancy rate of 95% and an economic impact of 3.5 M €.
In November, the city will host the MTV European Music Awards, which will be, for sure, another milestone for Seville in 2019, that has surely proven the city is able to host all sort of events of any kind. It will be a perfect occasion to showcase the vibrant and fascinating atmosphere, culture and architecture of the city.
And last, but not least, Seville will also host the Michelin Award Ceremony, on its 110th year, for both Spain and Portugal. It will take place on the 20th of November at the Lope de Vega Theatre. Over the last 10 years, Andalusia has grown gastronomically, moving from 8 awarded restaurants to 18, on its last edition. We cannot wait to discover how many stars will stay in Andalusia this time.
As you can see, Seville is ready and well prepared to host all sort of events, regardless of the subject or the number of attendees. If you are planning or thinking about Seville as the location for your next meeting, conference or even team building activity, do get in touch with us.
